In her role as
Chief Executive Officer of Georgia HAP Administrators, Inc. (GHA),
Valerie Todaro is responsible for all operations and ensuring corporate
success under a performance-based Annual Contributions Contract with the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in two states – Georgia and
Illinois. GHA also conducts compliance auditing for Section 8 and
housing credits properties outside the assigned GHA PBCA portfolio. GHA serves as
the Public Agency and Interest Reduction Payments (IRP) Administrator in
Georgia.
A regular conference
speaker, Valerie has been asked to make presentations at a variety of
assisted housing industry meetings. Before coming to GHA, she served as the
Director of Rental Assistance Programs with Kentucky Housing Corporation,
the state housing finance agency. During her tenure as Director, Rental
Assistance Programs won the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development’s National Performance Award for Exemplary Management
Performance in 1994 and again in 1996. Prior to accepting the Director’s
position at Kentucky Housing Corporation, Valerie served as Supervisor of
Section 8 Programs with the Housing Authority of Jefferson County,
Kentucky.
Valerie completed her
Bachelor of Science Degree at Indiana University. She received her Master
of Business Administration from Webster University. Valerie has earned the
professional designations of Certified Property Manager (CPM), Housing and
Development Finance Professional (HDFP), and is a Certified Tax Credit
Specialist. Valerie is a member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors and serves
on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)
in Georgia.
